Yes fancyplates and you only want the rear to be translucent, there is a specific tvr option when ordering.
I have this specific TVR option from Fancyplates, but not sure why it's TVR specific!
Your Tamora will take any standard number plate.

The Chim and Griff (and maybe others) is lit from behind the numberplate therefore needs the number plate to let the light through it.

Ah, I see - never knew that, and I used to have a Chim!Your Tamora will take any standard number plate.
I have a Chim that has a normal plate that is stopping the light getting through so I cant' drive it at night....

Your profile says a 97 450? I would have thought the "upgrades" would have got to the rear by then and you would have an externally illuminated rear number plate?I have a Chim that has a normal plate that is stopping the light getting through so I cant' drive it at night....
I live & learn 8-))
My Tam (I too had a 93 Chim) has the plate from the Chim and despite being illuminated from above, the lights are actually behind the plate (so it still works)!!

Great timing
I need a new backlit plate for mine, fed up of the scruffy looking thing that's on her at the moment

Mine is a '98 Chimaera and still has the old style rear, but I have the 'upgrades' on the front and interior I live & learn 8-))

Same here (but 97).
I prefer my flat rear number plate over later Chims but would have preferred the later rear lights. It's staying as it is though with the fiesta lights.

Just bought a set for the Griff. from "platesforcars" £31.47 much cheaper than fancy plates.
Nice spot. Just got a rear only for £25 inc postage. I'll be able to drive at night then
