Ok, so I probably expect too much, but I am not very impressed with some TVR owners who went to Le Mans this year.

Apparently, they thought it was perfectly fine to abuse me for not completing a burnout, even after I said no and that I was running in a new camshaft, so CLEARLY didn't want to damage it.

It was only 1 of the group who was abusive, although it seemed like the others definitely thought it was funny. There was 1 Chimaera, an orange Sagaris and I think there was another car, but I was pretty hot, tired and fed up at that point so don't quite remember what it was. They were all pulled up together on the side of the D92, just leading to the Beausejour roundabout. I do hope I never meet you again, because once was more than enough.

I suggest if you want people to break their cars for your enjoyment, you then pay for them to be fixed. Since you aren't going to do that, don't be surprised when they say no (and are polite about it as well).

On the other hand, I had a very nice chat with an owner of an S, who was working at the Speed Chills campsite.

Oh, no, it certainly didn't ruin the weekend, it was just disappointing.

Now, dropping my iPhone at 6AM on Sunday at the overflow Arnage car park, and not realising I had done so until we were almost to Mulsanne, that could have ruined the weekend..lol Thankfully, and amazingly, it was still there when we went back for it, so PHEW! biggrin

There were a couple of S's at that car park as well, which was a nice surprise.

Grow a pair and light them up, it's idling that damages cams, nice 3-4k rpm's with nice oil flow/pressure is what a new cam is needing the most

Can't believe you're coming on here whining about it, did you ring your mum aswel?

Excuse me? So, lets ignore the fact for a minute that my trusted mechanic told me not to do that, why precisely should ANYONE be abused for not doing something they do not want to do?

You know what word springs to mind? Bully.

Don't worry, no one I spoke to had seen the sag burn out, could have been worse, you could have crashed into an Audi in the PH enclosure!

I flew the flag for the ones who couldn't, maybe you can take over next year?

Haha, perhaps. wink Very, very impressive, not sure I could top that though!

Who crashed into an Audi?! That must have been embarrassing.

I agree with Alex I'm afraid... Man up and stop whinging; it's un-gentlemanly.

Lovely looking Cerb! Lupo lights?

Do you have a line-lock to burnout?

So, calling someone a for not doing one, is? Interesting opinion of what is gentlemanly there.

Actually, I now realise my mistake. Instead of being unimpressed, but not reacting at the time as I didn't see the point in a confrontation, what I SHOULD have done, is gotten out, slapped him with my driving glove and had a duel to the death there and then on the side of the road.

I have now seen the light, my apologies! If the individual in question would like to come forward, I will of course rectify the situation post-haste!

Not excusing the antics you witnessed at Lemons; but the first 10 minutes or so of running is what determines whether a replacement cam shaft is run in or not, never let it run at idle, keep the revs up and vary them. Assuming the faces were moly coated on assembly, change the oil and filter and drive as normal.....

Your car your choice, but when someone questions your manhood by calling you a , the appropriate response would have been to drop him on the spot!
