Would tend to side with Daggsy on this if you can manage the two cars.
Haven't seen your pre-cat in the flesh but judging by photos uploaded on Griff forum it is a real minter.
Can't believe you would seriously contemplate parting with it as should you
later have a change of heart, where are you going to get another 1 as good?

Iv'e had the pleasure of owning 14 TVR's in my 25 years of TVR ownership and when you find one you really like you hold on to it. Iv'e had most models some more than once, But the Tuscan is in a class of it's own it's got superb lines it's got a superb roof system whereby you can take the hard top off along with the rear window and the both stow in the boot and then you have open topped motoring and unlike the Griff the roof does'nt leak, I often find myself sat in my leather arm chair in my garage just looking at my Tuscan it just draws you to it, Iv'e got nothing against the griff as i like all the models it's just the buzz you get when your in the Tuscan and when you are out with the club on a run the buzz you get is even better than sex,My advice is to buy the Tuscan and sell the griff in the spring time or if you can keep them both, I find you can only drive one at a time so iv'e just stuck to one at a time.
What you need is to have a Tuscan for a day and see for yourself, I live in the North east so if you are near me you can borrow my car so you can see what you are missing,
But thers one thing for certain and that is that you will not regret getting a Tuscan, But remember i allways say you have to act before the Grimm Reaper appears cos he's out there some where.
Best of luck, Allan.

Can't solve your problem Cossers but you'd be mad to sell the Griffith! However it makes it easier to make a little Excel spreadsheet with all the tax dates, mot dates, services dates etc. I had a real headache keeping track of the Griff, the Aston, my wife's Porsche and for several years I was baby sitting my brother's Healey! Shouldn't this be on the "Pistonheaders and their first world problems" thread?
I find that a post-it note stuck on the kitchen calendar works well for me.

I don't even have to switch on a computer. ( Which is just as well, because I don't have one anyway. )
Edited to fill in the missing "t". I can't aboide fawlty speeling.

Cossers I do not envy you making the choice your Griff is stunning you would not be able to replace that car . I am biased I have both and keep getting ask by club members which would you keep if you had to sell one and that is a difficult decision as I have had the Griff from new with 23K on the clock it has sentimental value . I find the Tuscan is more difficult to drive and takes a little getting used to but is more practical for touring holidays etc but as your Griff is so good I would keep it and try to put a few more pounds away for a Tuscan as well if you buy the right car neither will drop in value and they should rise over the next few years which is more than money in the bank will do . Good luck whatever your choice

Cossers when I was looking I had several cars sold out from under me even though I was in a position to go any day Jim is a perfectionist and he advertised the car at a fair but firm price as he was confident of the condition of the car. I have had the car 4/5 years now and pretty confident it would fetch 2k more than I paid for it . I have to say it has been more troublesome than the Griff though
