TVR - Fuel Sender

We have a 1992 TVR that the fuel sender has stopped working, we have searched the internet and spoken to many different garages, specialist car suppliers, but we cannot get this part, does anyone have any suggestions please?

Hi Debs,
If your TVR is an S Series ( S3 or 290S? ), there is lots of help & advice on our Pistonheads S Series Forum, on this and any other S related topic.

You can use the search facility on here to find most things.

Click on 'Search' in the top right hand side of the grey margin, next to 'my stuff' and enter ' S Series fuel gauge sender unit' or 'S Series fuel tank sender' and you should get a good choice of threads to peruse.

A Land Rover Defender tank sender unit can be used, but the float arm has to be modified to match the original from your S.
I believe there are two types, make sure you get the correct one.
