Need to have a front end spray on the Sagaris for some lacquer that has come off. I've got quotes from three options...

Any reviews people have would be appreciated... Option 1, SP Automotive or Surface and Design..

All seem more than competent just after some first hand reports, I've used Option 1 many years ago and they seemed good... S&D just that little more expensive than the other two I think...

Cheers

Mines with S&D now for a full respray and they've been really good thus far.
Can't comment really on the other 2 as never used them but not heard anything bad about either.

I'd recommend Ryan at SPAutomotive. He did the repairs, grille and respray on my car. Lovely guy and very conscientious. That was 7 years ago and the paint is still all good. PM me if you have any questions.

S&D for me, just brought mine back from there on Saturday. Finally after 20 years I have a 'new' Griff!! Remember you are dealing with the real experts, that not only know how to handle fibre glass but have worked on TVRs from when the car was first made. Yet to post pics due to busy at work and now crap weather, but as expected, the car is now stunning! And will be on the S&D stand at the Neil Garner Open Day for all to see on the 26th Sept.

Also worth trying http://www.autotechprestige.com

Rick's been around TVR for a very long time and did a great job on my Tuscan.

I didn't have it resprayed - the body was the only pristine part of my Tam when I first bought it.

I did use Option 1 in Bromsgrove for a front end respray for my first Tam a decade ago, no complaints at all back then.

Interested in how you get on. My Cerb could do with a few scratches seen to which may mean a front end spray. I want a great job an dont want, for example, overspray on windscreen rubbers.

Has anyone used Washington coachworks? I need some minor paintwork doing and they are local to me.

Any experiences of their work would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Central did a full re-spray on mine. Overall I was pleased with the result and it still looks mighty fine 2 years on. However, it took a little longer than I would have liked and it had to go back to have a couple of little defects done, which were addressed without issue. to satisfy my OCD that should really have been picked up before the car was delivered back to me.

Surface and Design's work - car picked up last Saturday. Amazing attention to detail
Let the images speak for them selves

TVR's own colour - Starmist Crimson with maximum amount of metallic

Hi Dave, local Cerb owner Steve Jasper, uses them and rates them highly. As does a certain Mr Saywell, allegedly.

In the end I'm going with Surface and Design.. Will wait to well after Le Mans to get the work done so I can use the car for a while...

Had a great drive today and sad in some ways to be back at the factory. Also saw a flip paint T350 just out of Leek near Rudyard...
