The fibreglass/metal foil is coming away from the aluminium, will this TrimFix spray be up to the job? No cats, but it still gets pretty warm there.

Pic is from before it started falling apart

Can anyone suggest a better adhesive?

I've used that adhesive to locate a viton cam cover gasket. Gets fairly warm by the manifolds, on a speed six but hasn't moved using this stuff. Previously it would creep.

Your only issue might be the way it shoots out like a spider web in that confined area.

When I replaced mine I held it together with tigerseal, a few rivets with penny washers, and aluminium tape around the edges. Seems fine 1 year and 6k miles later.

i can second aluminium tape, although it does degrade and have found it doesn't stick very well in some areas.

I wanted to try some aircraft speed tape but its more expensive then gold tape i used last time around the gearbox area.
