Hi All

Looking to get back to the TVR fold after a 17 year absence.

I've shortlisted a couple of potential candidates (Chimaeras) and was looking for an independent pre-purchsae inspection. Is there anyone that offers that service ? I know that Rob Ingleby used to but believe that he has stopped that.

Looking for some recommendations.

Thanks

Just take it to your nearest TVR service garage, at least they have the knowledge and more importantly a LIFT

The 2 cars are not that close to me and I'm not sure if the owners will be that accommodating that they will take it to their local TVR specialist. In any case I think for both of them the nearest TVR specialist will be at least an hour away, so a mobile inspection would be a good place to start.

Worth checking with both owners though.....

Thanks - tried them but they won't travel beyond the local area.

I've done quite a number of pre-purchase inspections on cars that I am familiar with for people considering purchasing a car and I'll travel to wherever the car is, providing the customer is happy to pay for travel costs (mileage / fares), but also an hourly rate for my time whilst travelling.

Should your TVR people agree to that they've got nothing to loose as dead time spent travelling is covered, which if they were back in their workshops would be earning their company their normal hourly rate.
