Griffith complete rebuild website
Discussion
Hi guys
I have been rebuilding my Griff for a while now and have uploaded a very basic report of my build in to a website.
It's not completely finished yet but I thought I'd try and give an idea of what's involved to other people thinking of doing this.
A lot has been left out, it is only the skeleton at the moment (more text needed, so sorry if you get bored in parts!) but I will be adding more in the future.
Let me know what you think anyway.
Be warned it is a one page website which is not advisable for dial up users due to the size of the pictures!

David,
Well Done mate, looks like a bloody masterpiece!
just goes to show. its all down to the subject matter.
if you'd done a traction engine, i would run away screaming and avoid you like the plague! as its a Griff..I can't wait to meet you and buy you a BEER!
all that polishing! guess you had lots of time to kill. i did it to a GT6 many moon ago and i daren't touch the Griff as I know how hypnotic it gets!!!
But I'm sure it'll make the driving experience even better...fabulous job!

Great job, you must be well chuffed.
You like your polishing don't you! Polishing the alternator indeed! Have you used the clear POR to protect those polished bits?
I am part way down this path myself, and wondering if I should go the whole hog. Engine is out, I have almost all the new bits and pieces to put it back together, just looking for the time to start it (and the weather to warm up a bit
) It's so tempting to go that little bit further and drop the chassis and do a complete restoration job, and the work you and schimg are doing on your restoratons is pretty inspiring.
I was interested in seeing you'd painted the inside of the valley. What paint have you used? I have some POR engine paint, in aluminium, to do the block and heads; I'd guess a smooth finish in the valley would help with oil drain so I might do that as well.
