Maintaining and running a Chimeara outside of its birth land can prove to be tricky.
At the moment, I am doing the camshaft and running into a very peculiar issue.
I have the habit of changing nuts and bolts for brand new ones when working on my cars.
While not always mandatory, it gives me satisfaction to know exactly where I stand with my bolts, the torque applied, the thread lock and non-damaged heads.
The challenge lies with finding the UNC and UNF bits and pieces for the RV8 in my country.
Are you aware of any on-line fasteners supplier (apart from Namrick) likely to ship over to France?
Thanks a lot
Philippe

I go straight to eBay when working on the classics. Zinc, nylocs in any size, usually free delivery and cost little over a couple of pound for packs of twenty.

Spalding isn't too bad but I can't find the diversity I am looking for.
It is almost easier finding metric bolts in the UK nowadays .... :-)

Let's hit e-bay then. The only problem is the multiplication of the sources compared to shopping at one single point.
Will keep you posted.

52£ shipment for France for 30 bolts in 5/16" at Spalding Fasteners..... No way. And Namrick doesn't have the smallest sizes.
Keep looking.

If none of the suggested UK suppliers will do postage (at sensible rate) I'd be quite happy to receive them for you and forward on at cost, maybe collecting into one decent size lot if you have to source from several Ebay suppliers?

I go past a great fasteners place daily on my way to work. Happy to get what you need and post on if that helps

Waooooo.... I am really impressed by the offers posted here.
Unfortunately, I'll have to decline your generous offers as I have found everything on e-bay (as suggested).
And what I can't find, I'll re-use the existing fasteners.
Thanks again for your help guys.
The camshaft kit is on its way from Tvr parts.
See you.
