Guys,

I have rounded of the head of the long bolts holding the alternator bracket to the engine block on a serpentine RV8 engine.
These are 3/8" UNC flanged bolts in length up to 5".
I can't seem to locate an on-line shop selling them (I leave in France).
Can you help me out? I am ready to call any business and deal with it directly for the shipment .
The usual suspects (Namrick) has been tried with no success.
Thanks and regards
Philippe

Just had a search and didn't realise they were difficult to find, have you considered tapping it for a different thread?

Weld a nut onto a length of studding (threaded rod)... you can have any length you like then!

Namrick doesn't have all of the sizes Required.
Welding a nut to threaded rod is a big no on long bolts. The threaded portion has less resistance than the plain one.
On big bolts a full threaded length is a weak point.

Not really a concern for an alternator bracket!

This is the bolt I have found. Unfortunately they only have the longest bolt available.
It pains me to browse several shops in order to find all what I need and be ripped-off by the transportation fees.

I have purchased the Stainless Steel bolt on eBay listing.
The lenght is out of the normal range you would normally find in shops (online and real), which make it hard to find.
I ever you come across these, don't hesitate to stock pile them and resell on here...
