What stuff would you hate to see in the new TVR?

For deposit holders it's an exciting or scary time but having a short fuse there are some things that would make me question whether I should ask for my deposit back when I turn up to the 'reveal' in March. The following is my 'blood boiling' list:

Electronic handbrake

Seatbelt warning bleeps

Effing parking sensors

What would make you despair? All assuming that it ever sees the light of day, of course

Satnav, you should know where your going or be able to study a map.

A ford :-) and any of those modern nanny driver aids that we don't need.

Add to that all the other stuff that distracts you, like making phone calls, hands free or otherwise, infotainment etc
The most your likely to want, if you want something is a radio.

Electronic handbrake
Land keep assist (or whatever they'd call it)
Parking buzzers
Automatic parking
Automatic headlights / wipers
'Wave your foot' boot opener
'You've been driving x-hours, take a break'
Door open buzzers
Change-up display in dash
Little green trees appearing in dash display if you drive gently ()
Hill start assist

That'll probably do for now

Any sort of stability aid that can't be disabled completely if one so chooses.


AND..... bits of trim that fall off

And....

A radio that gets quieter when you reverse so you can hear the effing parking sensor beeps

I reckon the best period for car manufacture was 1990 to 2005 - pre-beeps mostly, hydraulic steering and reasonably reliable

I'll take my rose-tinted specs off now

Most T cars have both of these...? To be fair the buzzer is the alert for any message on the dash.

My T2 has a buzzer if I've left the lights on, very useful!
It also buzzes me if there is ice on the road, and this can get annoying

I don't envisage many gimmicks on the new car

I certainly wouldn't want to see a tow bar

Coffee cup holders..

Interior mirrors with back lights for doing ya make-up.

Auto park for when you dont know how to park it yourself.

In general, the more technology the better as far as I’m concerned, but all should be able to be turned off/on permanently as the owner desires, not what is good for you in the manufacturers eyes or just for the trip as in some cars.

Items I find particularly annoying are:

- Change-up warnings
- Economy meters
- Buzzers
- Cup holders
- Automatic engine turning off/on
- Running lights
