Am really enjoying delving into the various electrical problems posted here at TVR
I am fully aware of the fact that due to my straight to the point attitude and lack of etiquette at times I could well be regarded as a complete and utter .....
Unfortunately I have a weakness when it comes to witnessing people posting stuff to forums that they have limited knowledge of, I am slowly but surely training myself to ignore garbage post's rather than strike out at them
I have had a great time here up to now with drawing diagrams and posting my opinions about what I consider to be best methods to use
I am always eager to get creating another diagram as I am addicted to this stuff and have been for many years
I look forward to continuing posting my diagrams and opinions here for as long as my health allows it and hopefully that will be many years but I don't bank on anything
Please do post as many electrical problems as you all can as I love this stuff
Lets have a great electrical problem solving future together

Regards

PP

So my electrical issue No1 at the moment, hopefully is only a material issue.
I had my Tuscan retrim need two years ago.
I later realised that when reinstalling the radio, the radio housing scraped and damaged two tracks on the light switch circuit board.
I cleaned them up and used conductive paint but it didn't fix the problem. frown
Issue is no LED illumination and no 'lights on' display on dash. Lights still work with the switch operation.
I'm planning on a replacement board this year but would welcome your opinion.
Cheers,
Tony

With the right kit it should be possible to solder bridge wires to repair the breaks.
It will require a very fine soldering iron.
I'm no expert but do have said 'fine soldering iron'. happy to have a go if you want to send it to me.

Hi Steve, thanks very much for the kind offer.
You have reminded me that I have a son whose most generous father bought him a very good, expensive, temp control, CB soldering iron two Christmases ago.
I'll have to pay him a visit.

I may be in touch though.
Thanks again.

If you are replacing the board this year there is no point in doing any work on the damaged board
Should you wish to repair the damaged board I have no problem in posting how if at all possible the fix is achieved
the problem I do have is time, I don't wish to spend my time posting how to repair the board if you are replacing it
Once you know for sure if it's going to be a repair or replace please do post back and I will gladly point you in the right direction for a repair if that is your choice
If you do decide to repair the board - Have you any images of the damaged board or images of a good board that you can use to show where the damage is?
