TVR drive it day - Friday 8th September

Folks,

Given all the excitement that is brewing around Friday's launch, wouldn't it be a great idea if as many of us as possible made the effort to get out and use our TVRs on Friday?

I'm sure many of us will already say that "I use my TVR every day anyway", but surely it's worth making the effort to celebrate what will surely be a momentous day in the history of TVR?

Whaaa the 430 I just bought is in the workshop on the 8th. First slot they had open due to pre booked work. Still do not know when I will first drive her. Having a few minor niggles sorted and a new set of Bilstins fitted.

Hmmm well forcast here says Mainly Sunny forcast 7 hours sun and a temp of 31 degrees C. Wind of 7 kmh from the North East. Sat they say 33 degrees with 12 hrs sun and Sun 30 degrees with 10 hrs sun. Wind gets up to 14 kmh SE and drops to 9kmh Sunday. Not a bad weekend methinks.

Glad I didn't......230 miles in the Volvo on Rainsports.......thunder, lightening, lakes and rivers. I spent 15 minutes parked at the side of the A47 this afternoon, waiting for visibility to return. Not TVR weather, especially with Chimaera wipers...

Took mine down to Goodwood today, no room for the toddler so the Mrs had to take the Elan too. Awesome drive even through the rain.

Being a TVR man, I have to say that is a very nice looking Elan. Beautiful period colour.
