Race cars in build at Bristol Avenue

The 5000M and Scamander are'nt the only new vehicles built at the factory site.
Along with the already established TVR and sports car specialists at Bristol Ave , GTF are building Race cars.
Here's a few pics of the GTF workshop, taken in the last couple of days, ten chassis have been commisioned and the bodies are done.
New Chevy LS and a couple of dry sump AJP engines are awaiting installation.
There's still a hell of a lot of work to do , but the buzz around the place is fantastic.
The TVR marque as we knew it is gone, and the GTF's are pure race cars , to be built in tiny numbers....but still, it's going to be a great moment, when the first one rumbles out of the workshop

OK I'm totally confused here, isn't that a Sagaris being built in those pictures above ????????The chassis look TVR.
The body looks like a TVR Sagaris.
The engine they are using (AJP V8) is TVR.
There being built in the TVR Bristol Avenue factory.
How is it not a TVR ???????
So either Peter Wheeler or someone has done a deal with the Russki to build a limited number of race car under licence.
Or is this a teaser of the resurrection of the old TVR as we know it ??????

No, it's not just you. That was my first impression as well... sweeping lines leading to an Alfa pouting mouth!Mind you, I love the styling of the newer Alfas, so it's not a criticism.
I hope this leads to something good & best of luck to all those involved in this exciting project.

is in the detail . There's an oval recess above the cut-out & I bet an air-dam will go underneath, so maybe there's still some work to do to soften those corners.AlexanderV8 said:

), aesthetically it looks bloody awful IMO.
TVR..GTF ???
The chassis/cage is a development of that used in the Tuscan Challenge cars.
What is significant though , is that these are newly fabricated at Bristol ave (same engineer as built them originally), and not ex challenge car chassis.
The body shape is evolving from the Sagaris road car, in much the same way that the Tuscan Challenge shape evolved from the TVR 'S' series.
The engines are predominately new Chevrolet LS derivatives, although a rather special AJP is earmarked for at least one of the cars.
These Bristol Ave cars are GTF's, these will be Pure Race Cars (as said before, crafted in very small numbers), there is no intention to build road cars.
The bonnet has been designed for function and not to emulate an Alfa - it will look much more resolved when allied to the new front splitter that has been designed for it - wait to you see a fully finished car.
The cars that have been raced by Tim Hood, Steve Glynn and Fred Tonge (and beautifully built by Terry Lee and Tim at JetBlack Motorsport) are the pre-cursors and were built from TVR Tuscan challenge cars.
These cars have been racing since 2006 , using dry sump Tuscan challenge engines.
For 2009 , they'll be running Chevrolet engines.
Of course these are'nt the only Sagari' out there, Racesport and Andy's Team Holden racing have built there own Magnificent LS engined/Sagaris race cars - so the formula works.
