Feeling through brake pedal

Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on this.

I bought a cupra about a month ago, privately. I've noticed when braking, more so at higher speeds, I can feel the road through the pedal. I've no idea how to best explain it, it's not pulsating or vibrating.

Is this normal or is it signs of warped discs? afaik the discs haven't been changed, still on the stock ones at 40k.

Have you checked the disks and pads for yellow marker pen?

I had this once, I fixed the problem by having the floor pans welded up.
