Escort master cylinder seals
Discussion
The seals on my master cylinder have gone, so the obvious solution is to buy some. However, no-one wants to sell the seals, and I don't want to have to pay £50 for a new cylinder, or buy a second hand cylinder that probably also has worn out seals. Does anyone know where I can get hold of some (for a 1988 1.4 escort)?
Thanks
Thanks

I would never put seals in a master cylinder.
Is £50 the price you put on your life and that of others.
Please get the new cylinder.
Steve
Seal kits do seem to be very hard to come by these days.
Still might not solve the problem anyway as I fitted one once as part of general brake recon when building a kit car. Master cylinder looked fine, but after fitting the seals it leaked, so I ended up getting a new cylinder anyway.
Think new one is your best option just to be on the safe side.
