How much does alloy wheel repair and refurbishment cost?
Discussion
At least one of the wheels on my E39 is buckled to the point that it's making the ride horrible. I've raised the rear wheels off the ground and put the car in D and there is noticeable damage to both alloys.
I had a quote for £125 per wheel including tax from a reputable repairer near Alicante, where I live. That is repair, sandblasting, repainting, reinstalling the tyre, and rebalancing. They have a more expensive option for £175 if I want the wheels completely stripped of paint.
It seems reasonable to me, I just wanted a sense check I guess before I send the wheels away.
It doesn't look too hard to repair them, based on this video. I appreciate there will be plenty of skill involved. It took me a while to track down a company to do the work. I'd have thought it would be more common.

For a fairly common car that age I'd be starting off by seeing if you couldn't find a replacement set of wheels instead, and just get them stripped and powder-coated if necessary, lots more places would be able to do that well. Unless the wheels are rare, I don't think saving them is a priority - obviously that's based on my experience in the UK so Spain may be different.
