Advice - chewed brake lines

I am experiencing a problem with the brake lines on my work vehicles being sabotaged by animals (I am assuming rats but could be squirrels or foxes, I have no idea) it is getting expensive not to mention dangerous.
Does anyone have any experience of this?
I have moved the vehicles to a different location at our premises as it is always the vehicle in one particular location that was targeted and I am presuming that is because it was near a fence and possibly used as a ‘rat run’ but I want to ensure it doesn’t happen again. Twice now in 3 months, this time they have damaged the ABS wiring as well.
A humane solution is ideally sought ( before I get answers which could kill every creature in the vicinity).

Are you able to get braided brake lines for it?
They have a stainless braid over the top, which might help with the rats... I had some Hel ones on my bike, and it looks like they can also make up car/can ones for you as well:

Also you could try that stuff designed to stop nail biting, if you put it on the wiring? No idea if it works on rats too but it could be worth a go...

Got experience of rats attacking wiring. The only solution is to kill them. You cannot make nice warm engines with fluffy bits of insulation around them unattractive to rats. I find a bit of rat block wired to something solid under the bonnet does the job. They’ll get in there, find something ‘Nice’ to eat .... and don’t come back.
