Hey, need some advise please on tyres to get for my 522bhp s2000, currently have some old ad08r’s on. Wanted to get ad09 but they don’t do 225/45/17 and 245/40/17. The car is garaged most of the year and only taken out in the summer and never in the winter or rain.
Looking at Nanking ar1 or is that too much of a track tyre for the road? Would rather a tyre be very grippy in summer than an all year round tyre.

Thanks.

In terms of a track orientated tyre, soft from the start, Yoko A052's seem to be well regarded. I have them on one car and they do seem pretty decent

Although really some UUHP tyres like a PS4S can't be overlooked either for genuine road use where they'd also have some longevity.

Was going to suggest Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Connect but can only find the front 225/45r17. For the rears 255/40r17 is the closest I can find (and there's a lot more other choices in that 255/40r17 size, such as AD09, R888R, DZ03G, NS-2R).

A cheap (£100) option is the Zestino Gredge semi-slick track tyre...
