have they changed the compound formula? my new last year greenstuff pads produce far more dust than the previous ones which were fitted 8 years ago.same discs too.

Why bother with a decidedly average braking brand, when there's better for similar money or a fraction more?
Sorry to rain on your parade, but EBC are more marketing hype than actual substance.
If you want something decent, then you should be looking at:
Ferodo Premier (DS2000 for more performance)
Mintex
Tarox

Carbone Lorraine
Performance Friction
Pagid

Those last three would be quite a bit more, but serious brake pads.

+2, EBC only good enough as a paper weight..Id add Ferodo DS2500 or 3000, excellent pads.
