Clio III discs and pads change
Discussion
I need to change the pads and discs all round on a clio III (2006), the newer shape one. The rear discs appear to have the bearing inorporated into it. Does this make the changing of the discs more difficult or is it straight forward enough?
Any other hints or tips in particular to this car would be great.

It's extremely straight-forward to do. Just the same as on any car really without any pitfalls. If you are unsure, grab yourself a Haynes manual.
The rear discs are available online with new bearings already pressed in for you. I would do this rather than have the hassle of getting them pressed in yourself.

I changed the rear disks on my ph2 172 last week and it is quite straight forward. I'm not sure whether its the same on the Clio 3, but there is a small washer, called a deflector by Renault, on the ph2 172 and its very important that they are fitted and fitted the correct way around.
My car had new disks fitted about 8000 miles ago and the bearings have already failed as the garage that did the work (a Renault dealer) had not fitted the deflectors. As a consequence the inner races of the bearings on both sides had cracked.
Also make sure the hub nut is torqued to the correct figure.
If you have a look on cliosport.net there is plenty of info on there.
