So I brought my m5 over a year ago the paint work was in ok shape but didn't have the deep wet look I wanted . Last summer I had a lot on so went to Halfords got a bottle of ag srp and had some dodo juice purple haze in the shed .
These are the results I got :

Not too bad but still not what I wanted .
So I decided to invest i a da polisher . I brought a duren da from slims detailing , it came with 6 different pads and cost £89 which I think is great value . To an amateur detailed this is really all you need .
So I watched a lot of junkman 2000 YouTube videos , these are great by the way .
I decided to go with megs ultimate compound and polish . These are 2 very easy products to use .
So after washing , claying and drying the car I was ready to start . Slightly nervous about using the da for the first time .
Well what can I say the products are super easy to use and so was the da . I managed to get rid of 80% of the swirls and scratches . Her are the results after a compound and polish .

I then sealed the paint with some fusso f7 and topped with fusso king of gloss . King of gloss is a great product to use , the water sheeting off is amazing .
Her is the end result

All in it me 8 hours and cost £150 . I'm more than happy with the cost and result .
Here are the products I used :

Thanks to slims detailing for their great service and to junkman2000 for the great YouTube videos

Well done OP, looks great!
Would like to use a DA Polisher myself, as without it you are limited with the final result. I have always worried about burning the paint or applying too much or not enough pressure.. What did you use for some of the hard to reach areas?

Honestly you have no worries about burning the paint etc . You just need a small amount of pressure . Would like to use a DA Polisher myself, as without it you are limited with the final result. To reach the hard to reach bit like the front bumper and lower grill I just hand polished . TBH there was only a couple of bits I could not use the da .
Please watch the junkman videos of YouTube ? They are abit long winded but you will learn so much and give you the confidence to have a go . It's not that hard and the kit I got from slims offer great value
