The only thing I would say is, don't bother drying it after the first wash. You're only going to clay it and need to re-wash it again anyway, save yourself the trouble. smile

Also, instead of quick detailer use a relatively strong shampoo/water mix for claying.

I always found using quick detailer meant using loads of it and on a warm day the panel drying. Friend of mine who details for a living recommended the water option and it's so much easier. Dip a mitt into the water and let it run down the panel, makes the claying process a lot quicker.

Hope that helps mate.

You need a good rinse out between the ears, I don't recall you ever being able to post up in the correct section.

Therefore :-

Get in car.

Drive down the road.

Hand those nice hard working Polish blokes a tenner.

Sit back and relax.

Drive home.

Watch telly.

I'd put the black hole on first. (before wax/polish).

If you are 'going' for a full detail, let the detailer get on with it...

Admire all those lovely new swirl marks.

Most eloquently phrased Sir Robert. smile
Except you did omit the cocktails... lick

Would somebody be so kind as to direct the OP to the "Detailing" Section way over there? ----->>

They could do with some extra numbers...

Meanwhile, my advice would be: " Just get a proper car and drive it like you stole it. "

There. Karma is restored once more. cloud9

My current routine is;

Prewash,
Rinse
Wheels, iron out and clean
Rinse wheels
Snow foam
Rinse
Hand wash
Rinse
Dry
Polish
Wax
Details, (tyre dress, wheel wax, glass cleaner, trim protect)

Polish and wax is only as required, so normally omit these and I can get through the other steps in about 2 hours. Never clay, I send to a detailer for that.
