Scratched headlight advice please.
Discussion
I was restoring the headlights today, using AG headlight restorer... ( Used before they come up like new)... Like a complete pxxk I was rubbing down using my own sandpaper and by mistake I used 60 Grit, instead of 600, it's now scratched to hell. Any idea how I can rectify it please.. Thanks.
Mistakes happen.
I would probably remove the headlights from the car, use a block of wood wrapped in 400 wet and dry, and go over the whole headlight, until you cannot see any scratches from the 60 grit. Then use 600 grit until you cannot see any 400 grit scratches, then 800, possibly finish off with 1200 or 1500.
Using a block would help stop creating lens effects, and removing from the car would make it easier to get the whole headlight covered.
