Do you have experience with a machine polisher already?

Whats your budget?

Rupes Bigfoot 15 or Flex XFE150 are both excellent all rounders.

DAS 6 Pro with Megs polish is widely seen as the best starter package. You can get ~98% swirl clearance with almost 0% chance of damaging or burning the paintwork.

I got a DAS6 with Menzerna polishes and as above great way to start your machine polishing life. They appear in all sorts of guises with various companies branding on so have a good look around and see what you can get bundled with one.

I have a DAS-6 and it's fine for my amateur needs.

Be wary with the microfibre pads though - I was told to avoid them by a detailer as they have a pretty severe cutting action, potentially more than you need
