How to get grease off a windscreen?

How do I remove this grease from my windscreen?

I’ve tried meths and washing up liquid. Doesn’t help.

Turps or white spirit then wash thoroughly with soapy water???

Maybe try scraping it with a stanley knife blade and using tissue to absorb it, then hot water degreaser and wash?

Mer windscreen cleaner dries as a powder and should do the trick safely

Lacquer thinners then vinegar on a paper towel. (Do not get it on the rubbers/screen sealant)

Did you use the thinners first ? If not it will not work because the thinners remove the grease and the vinegar removes the thinners residue.

Clean the wiper blades too, if you haven't already!

It may well getting blown off the front of the car as you drive along, so as fast as you clean the window more blows onto it, so give the whole car a good wash and clean your wiper blades. I have had all of the windows sprayed in hydraulic fluid on my company vehicle several times and it takes chuffin ages with the hot water pressure washer and gallons of windowlene to get the glass clean again.

Bought some mer, I’ll see if that works when it comes next week. If not ill get some thinner and try the vinegar again

Wash off with plenty of water.

I have a bottle of isopropyl alcohol that I'd use to clean that. Very handy to have for all sorts of jobs, especially anything that needs cleaning before using any sort of adhesive or sticky fixing, also very useful for cleaning electrical contacts and other things with cotton buds.

Washing-up liquid will only make it worse as it contains a substantial amount of a glycerine compound to prevent hands from being dried out.
