A bit of heat from the Sun (!) or a hair drier may help soften it. Then rub with your thumb.

What have you tried? Got any tar remover for example? Soaking with WD-40 is usually enough to get the remnants of glue off when debadging.

The green is just stuck to the glue, once that’s off it’ll all be fine.

Get some tar and glue remover, use liberally. Sorted!

Tried a hair dryer and kettle and it won’t come off! It’s rock hard and it I’m going to force it I’ll remove some of the paint.

The green will be on the thin film of glue you have spread, not on the car's paint.

As above

Heat or Tar remove or WD40

please note the 'or' not 'and' (otherwise the next post will be about the car being on fire)

another option is clay bar if you have one, or dental floss (used as a scrapper)

I’ve tried
Nail Varnish
Hair Dryer
Kettle

Nothing seems to soften the glue.

Are you sure it’s only a thin film of glue and not that I somehow put the green into the paint?

I’ve tried cleaning it off but it won’t come off

Nail varnish remover?
Yes. It was actually suggested on one of the old threads here and someone confirmed it was working so I gave it a try.

Soak a paper towel in WD40, and hold it on the glue remnants as a poultice for a good length of time, that usually works for me to soften stuff like that.

Wonder Wipes seem to be pretty good/aggressive for cleaning stuff off.

Nail varnish remove will remove the glue.. it will also remove whatever layer of polish/wax/coat is on the top too. Not a good idea

as many have said use a hair dryer to heat it up, rub it off with your finger as it softens frrom the heat. WD40 is a better choice over nail varnish remove.

I’ve already tried heat. Firstly hair dryer and then kettle but it was still hard as a rock

If the green has just stuck to sum glue residue rub it with a cloth and WD40. It is known to remove the glue.
