Burnt Black Paint - cheap fix?

Love it or hate it I just bought a Micra c+c with a burnt black metal bonnet (from living in Malta) - any cheap fix please?

Wet sand and spray clear coat on.

Rattle can it, surely?

Have a go with a rotary or DA with compound and it'll likely improve it a lot.

If that doesn't work to the level you want, then as has been suggested wet sand it and re-apply clear coat which is easy enough.

Make sure you get some protection (sealant/ wax) on it after you've done what you choose to do with it to protect it from getting worse.
