I know the smart repair thing has come on a long way in the last 5-10 years, are they capable of sorting out the below to a very high standard (invisible), or is this a body shop job?

(The units in my garage jumped out on me when I was putting the car away....)

Invisible.
Bodyshop.
Full panel paint.
Is there a bit of filler there?

By smart repair you really mean a local part panel repair.
Done well you can get an invisible repair.....but it won't stay invisible.Every time you polish the vehicle you risk exposing the edge of the clear.

I'm not saying it's impossible ...... a highly skilled tech could do it.
But it's very difficult to do an invisible local repair on a bonnet ...... more especially when the colour's metallic - and colours don't come much more metallic than silver!

As V8Covin says, it's the join between the old & new clearcoat.
The colour match could be perfect but there is the very real risk that you will find the join as a thin dull line - or a rainbowy effect.
Once you've noticed it you won't be able to unsee it & as you want perfect it will irritate.
