Use something decent such as dinitrol or bilt Hamber, leave the lanoguard alone.
Thanks for this. Is it just a case of getting under the car, giving it a clean and brushing it all over the rot spots? Best to get as much rust off as possible then apply some Fertan to kill any remaining embedded rust before overcoating with Bilt Hamber, Dinitrol or Beoshield.
Lanoguard wouldnt / couldn’t send me any salt spray test results when I asked them…….
If you just want an easy to apply no preparation type product then ACF50 is good but needs a few reapplications throughout the year.

If its clean then you just spray the product on, Bilt Hamber UB if you want black or UC for clear. For cavities its S50.
I normally pressure wash the day before and let it dry, if any rust is visible you need to treat it but the above products do contain inhibitors so will deal with some minor surface stuff.

Dinitrol 1494 (I think) - we applied this to the underside of our MGA, sets pretty solid and great for protection.
Does the Bilt Hammer UB clear set solid as does the Dinitrol? If so it can be used for wheel arches (the MGA are white not black).
Lanoguard - tried this and wiped it off a few days later. From what we found it doesn t set and will just be a muck catcher.

I have this option for a forthcoming service - for £180. But when they said it only lasts a year I lost interest and wondered why they don't use something that lasts much longer, like Waxoyl did on my TVR.Simpo Two said:

Because they're not interested in long-term protection against rust. They're interested in £180 a year, every year. Like air conditioning "servicing" which is little more than a fancy air freshener.Dinitrol or Bilt hamber would be the product ranges I would choose from. Leave the sheep oil to the instagram lot.
Maybe have a look in the "Scotland" section, there's bound to be answers there for a company to do it. eg, there's a place in Falkirk that does Dinitrol, https://rustproofingautocare.com/dinitrol-rust-pro...
