I have a 2019 ranger which is in great condition. I was thinking of clay barring it then applying a Polish. I've also bought a ceramic coating. Should this be applied on top of the Polish or just after the clay and no Polish. Advice please.

What is the actual ‘polish’ you have bought? The title ‘polish’ is frequently given to products that don’t have any real ‘cut’ but lots of fillers/gloss enhancers so the brand and specific product choice matters a lot.

Essentially though, a polish stage is not really needed if there is no ‘issue’ to fix, you can go straight to a wax or sealant. However if it’s covered in swirl marks, a good filler-rich ‘polish’ can make a big improvement.

Any recommendations on a 'good filler-rich polish's?

I have some autoglym Polish in the garage. Then paintwork is fine no swirls and it's silver so quite forgiving.

Bilt hamber cleanser polish is very good, Autoglym super resin is ok too.
No harm in polishing the paint after decon, cleans it up nicely ready for your chosen protection.
Machine polishing is better and easier but that's another can of worms.

I’ve been very impressed with Carpro Essence. It’s a light polish, filler and leaves an SI02 layer so you can stop there or apply a full long lasting ceramic coat on top if you want.
