Mains cable in a car?

Is it OK to use a piece of mains cable (a piece of TV power lead) to run to the horn in a car? I've just fitted an old set of airhorns and the only piece of cable I can find that is long enough to reach the compressor is that old power lead.

If it's not suitable I'll buy a reel of cable from Halfords or somewhere.
