I have just aquired a 98 ford transit in garnet red. smile ,to save having to chuck stuff in the cars.
It had signs on the sides, doors and front made up of individual letters. These have been on since new(approx 10 years) so now they have been removed you still can see them due to the rest of the paint fading.
I want to get rid of this and give it a general spruce up, what would you guys recommend, dont mind spending a bit of money on this(no more than £200) I an guessing a buffer and some sort of cutting compound, any suggestions on both?
Dont want to do it by hand as I am guessing to do a whole Transit would take forever.
Tried the search, does not seem to work for me at the mo.

Cheers
Alex

A professional detailer should charge less than £200 for the work, it can be a tricky job if you're not familiar with machine polishing. So I'd try the professional route.

When I sold my old Berlingo I took off the sign writing and there was marks where the vinyl had been but a day with glue and tar remover, followed by a good machine polish and it was as good as new.
