Polished Lip vs. Chrome Plated

[alecescolme]

Hi Guys,
I am refurbishing a set of 3 piece wheels and need some marks taken out from the outer lip.
The lip is currently plated, should I have it re-plated or polished? An recommendations of platers?

Thanks in advance.
