Repairing ring cuts in steering wheel - glue?
Discussion
Recently had my steering wheel cleaned and refinished by my local dealer after one of their tech scratched it. Wasn't too bothered as it's a 17 year old Volvo C70, but it was a nice thing to do and looked surprisingly good afterwards for such an old car. Sadly it didn't last long, the wife has just done the bottom of the steering wheel with her rings and the cuts feel like big ridges.
Seen a few videos on line where people rub and fill with superglue to fill the ridges. Is this the best thing or is there a better way to do it? I was considering getting a kit from Furniture Clinic to do it myself otherwise which are only £25.
The photo actually shows up quite well all the older ring marks that were covered up so perhaps another layer of sanding and dye would be a good thing. Are there any other ways of doing this?
