So… stay with me here… 🫣

Audi - roof rails - they’re not chromed or anything like that. They’re not aluminium (I don’t think). They seem to be some kind of coated metal. They seem to have some kind tempering/tarnishing on them and I’d love to figure out what the right product is that would bring them back to life - at least remove the tarnish.

I’m loath to jump to the wrong product (eg. Autosol) and end up with a swirly mess on something so prominent at eye level 🤔

Any thoughts/ideas/experience?

A light Polish such as Autoglym super resin is the first thing I would try.

Yes, start with a light polish, see if that works, if not then go more aggressive.

I brought my car s window surrounds beautifully with Meguiars ultimate compound and then ceramic coated them. Still look perfect nearly 4 yrs on.
