Getting tree sap off carbon fibre?

Any tips for getting hardened tree sap off carbon fibre / epoxy resin? Is it safe to use a clay bar on carbon / epoxy?

Try tar remover. Let it soak for a minute and got at it with a microfiber cloth.

Hopefully will dissolve it all. Wash off and bin the cloth.
