Headlight lens replacement
Discussion
Rennlens replaces lenses on Porsche headlights, but you have to send the headlight to them. The lens requires heating to soften the adhesive and then a curing period for the new adhesive - not something you'd want to attempt on a driveway!
They did mine to resolve this:

Afterwards the headlight was as new. I have no idea what caused the damage but there was a hailstorm in the week before I noticed it. So maybe it was that.
Edit: Just spotted that they now do headlight lenses for other makes too.

I’ve dropped them a note thanks, some shops I’ve got quotes from look a bit back street, don’t fancy sending 6k’s worth of lights to them. Afterwards the headlight was as new. I have no idea what caused the damage but there was a hailstorm in the week before I noticed it. So maybe it was that.

I’ve just done my L332 ones myself,
Remove light unit,
Pop clips off and remove the two small torx screws
Heat up a side at a time
Gently pull apart and use a scalpel to slice through the sikaflex strands
Dig out the remains of the sealant
Fresh sikaflex
Assemble in reverse of above
Ceramic UV protection & done
All in £100 max + 6/7 hours of my time

ETA.
I (and many others) have saved what look like completely stuffed headlight lenses with polishing the lens.

Plus all the years of knowledge and experience that enables you to do such things. Some people can't even change a fuse without help, while some can build a space shuttle. Everyone fits somewhere on that spectrum and being able to replace your own headlight lens as well as have the right tools and materials makes the job closer to space shuttle building than to fuse replacement.Remove light unit,

Have you thought about trying a restoration kit first? I gave one a go recently and it was suprisingly easy for a beginner. Might save you some quid if they arent physically cracked. Anyone else tried swapping them at home?
We have already been there, see the post above the one you posted.Forums | Bodywork & Detailing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
