& that's the sum total of your appreciation of all the work that's gone in to this fantastic car..

Sometimes the effort can be misguided.......this is is such a case in my opinion. That classic design has been americanized and in doing so lost its identity.
.......

It was a lot better befor IMO

Have always liked Elites, for some reason, probably as it was the first Lotus I ever went in.
Anyway, in my first short reply saying I liked it in it's original colour, I should have elaborated by stating , as some others have, that it's lost it's classic look & now looks like some pimped up American waggon with Bling wheels & a Big motor.
Yes, the restoration is good, but sometimes restorers loose the vision of what the vehicle was, as in this case.

Sorry if it offended you, maybe I should have elaborated like the above. Anyhow, just to prove how much I like Elites i bought on last Saturday...Yes, the restoration is good, but sometimes restorers loose the vision of what the vehicle was, as in this case.

but the interior has been done very well & is what Lotus should have done & the engine is what they intended to do isn't it?
