Another mystery,
Hope one of you clever clogs can I'd this.
Its definitely an XJ12 chassis.
Registered as a jag royale.
I have looked on both the Panther and Royale club sites but can see no record of this car,
Any ideas?

No idea but I'm going to guess at a replica Duesenberg with a modern in line 6.

edit - ok V12 then!

The chassis plate says Royale, but they haven't anything like it on their club site, seems like a bit of a bitser.

Given it's the 2nd built it's probably a prototype to a large extent, which would explain discrepancies.

Might even have used the scuttle and rear wing panels, if not they were probably used to make the mould. A photo of the interior may reveal the dashboard as well.

Nice looking thing overall, but that crashing plane bonnet ornament is in poor taste.

I was wondering the same, I have no interest in the car but would love to know more!

Accurate depiction of how it was found?

The memorial is near Bradwell on Sea, on the Dengie Peninsular. Not a well visited part of the world, but worth a trip. About as remote a spot as you will find within 2 hrs drive of London.

I think the idea that these two could be compared is quite amusing.. the silver thing is just wrong wrong wrong. Whichever bit you look at.... Just diabolical hehe

The rear bumper and fake exhausts are a bit tragic.

Bradwell on Sea memorial site.

Edit: beaten to it.

Edit 2: For an equally remote air crash site, just across the water at Copt Hall Marsh is where a Zeppelin came down in WW2.

Yes, many have regarded that memorial as a bit odd over the years, depicting a crashed aircraft in that way, was, and still is somewhat controversial.
The names on the memorial are also for all aircrew MIA/KIA that flew from RAF Bradwell, and not all were Mossie crews, so also odd from that pov.

Possibly the lone voice of dissent, but I rather like it. Headlights need to be bigger and closer together, + prewar steering wheel etc. Agree the fake down pipes are a bit naff, but could live with that and it’ll waft along nicely with that v12.
