Isobel Black / Troubleshooters / Mini Cooper S

What a simply awesome shot !
Isabel Black, is seen here with her brand new Cooper / S and the showroom cat, outside John Sprinzels London hq, March 4th 1968.
Apparently the car was a gift.

But, what happened to it ??

No idea what happened to it but it's not a Cooper S, it's a souped up Mk2 Morris Mini 1000 saloon, Cathy McGowan (of Ready Steady Go fame) had one very similar to it as well

I was watching a b&w Emma Peel Avengers episode the other night and Isobel Black popped up in it with dubbed voice for some reason.

The bonnet badge on her Mini is the one at the bottom right of this pic....

McGowen's Mini has a Sprinzel badge under her bonnet badge, where as Isobel's Blacks car doesn't, even though they are close in reg number. Interesting McGowen's also on b/silver old plates, and Black's on new fangled white/yellow reflective ones.

Black's car may have the Sprinzel badge on the dash somewhere, or possibly on the crossmember just inside the driver's door, they put them there sometimes (Stewart & Ardern often did this on their Minis).

Seen lots of S&A and Taurus Minis in the flesh but never a Sprinzel...!

This Mk3 Cooper S was breathed on by John Sprinzel when it was new in '71, he fitted the 6x10 GT Equipment Co. alloys and tinted glass all round....
