Previous owners

I understand there is a website where you can type in a registration number and see a list of previous owners. I think it might be part of the RAC website - can anyone point me in the right direction?

www.rac.co.uk then click on myrac (you have to create a log in and wait for a confirmation e-mail) but it only tells you how many former keepers, the same as your v5 does.

Sevd £5 to the fee paying unit, DVLA Swansea. You will receive in reply photocopies of the previopus V5's, showing all the previous owners and their address' at that time. I have done this with all my cars

This so you can pay them a visit and beat them up for abusing your car, bodging repairs, not adhering to service schedules, clocking it, etc...

I did this ... then wrote to all the owners (7). Four didnt reply, two did, and one ex neighbour of the other one did ! Learnt some useful bits and bobs about the car that I'd have never had known. Did it in the form of a quick-and-easy to fill in questionaire with a SAE, so they were more likely to reply ...
