Just watching an episode of Minder and saw this.

The lettering across the bootlid seems to be six letters and I read Jaguar, but Jensen maybe? I suspect I'm wrong on both counts.

The front looks a bit like a Facel Vega?

The registration is currently on a Mercedes by the way.

Definitely a CV8, not as pretty as the interceptor. Star of “The Baron” tv show in the 60’s or 70’s I think.

Not the happiest looking things. Were a bit of a curiosity even back in the day. Fibreglass iirc.

I owned one and it was a lovely old thing, 6.2 litre V8 so 330bhp, and didnt weight that much, mine had coopercraft uprated brakes but it wasn't great on fuel. I thought it was handsome but some found the visuals a little "unresolved" ...

It's certainly an interesting looking thing! That front has some vague hint of BMW.

There were a few built from ex factory parts in the 1990's-2000's by someone near me. About 5 or 6 I think. Not sure if they were great but they all sold.
It would be nice if any of the owners were on here.

Much prefer the CV8 to the Interceptor! The earlier 6 pots are nice too. I'm sure the cv8 was one of the fastest four seat cars in the world when new, and much quicker accelerating than the likes of the e type...and maybe Muira? Love them!!

Is that Arfur's jag in the background of the top pic?

Middle pic I'd say we can see a white Renault 6 and an early Spitfire with the small tail lights, and I think the blue estate is an Avenger.

EDIT - just looked again, I'm loosing confidence on the Avenger - not sure it's even an estate!

Fabulous car. A late friend had a wonderful example (which even sported the CV8 plate until he was offered silly money for it ), and I remember zooming imperiously down an early morning A1 , four up at 100mph . We went to the run wot yer brung at York dragway and it attracted huge attention - nobody knew what it was but thanks to a fit 6235 cc healthy V8 , prepped by a V8 specialist who drag raced himself , ss quarters were low 15s ISTR.

I much preferred the CV8's looks to the Interceptor , which was a bit fur coat and no knickers I've always thought, if unfairly.

Minder has a huge entry on the IMCDB. Everything from AC Cobra to Yugo 45. No Zastavas spotted yet.

It does look like his car in the top picture.

I would agree with you on the avenger estate even though its not perfectly clear. I also spotted a Mk2 Granada on the left of the image.

The OP picture is of a MK111 version; to my mind, much more resolved stylistically than the previous incarnations; mostly due to the revised headlamp arrangement and lower scuttle line. The MK1 was dubbed (a little unfairly) the ugliest car in the world; suffering from all sorts of extra lumps and bumps later removed for the MK11.

I have owned 4 through the years, including a rare (but horrible) manual version. It was easy to see why the automatics were much more numerous!

A Yugo is a Zastava!

Incredibly you could still buy them new in 2008 - surely the most ancient car available to buy new at that time

Renault 6 - yes.
White sports car could well be a Spitfire, although I'm not sure the rear arches aren't a little too square, suggesting it could be a Midget / Sprite.
Estate is, I think, a Vauxhall Viva HB:
