RR 94 Soft dash seat alternatives
Discussion
I have a 1994 RR classic soft dash
As with all of these there are seat issues - I have had the circuit board under the seat reconditioned twice when it cost £2-300 to do, it now seems to be £750+
The switch and memory buttons no longer seem to work and a new switch seems to be £150-£200
Quite honestly prices are getting stupid.
The car has failed its MOT only on the seat not adjusting - it is in otherwise quite good condition, what can Indo at a reasonable price to sort this out?
I have no need for memory I am pretty much the only driver of the car
I am happy with manual seats but I assume that the link into mirrors etc makes that difficult?
Prices for soft dash seats are silly prices - on eBay a set of seats might be £1500 with no guarantee that it works v. An L322 set at under £500!
Can I swap in an earlier seat or one from a discovery or P38a or something? Or is there an easy way to keep the motors but perhaps bypass the circuit board (research suggests that there might be a voltage issue)
The recent 20:10 engineering example has reccaro seats so presumably something is possible?
