I'm looking to get the front/rear windscreen seals replaced on my '70s German barge and wondered if anyone had any recommendations for a place to do the job.

Ideally looking for somewhere in the East Midlands if at all possible - and somewhere probably classic specific as it's there's chrome trim to deal with.

I've already got new seals, just need to get the job done by a professional as I don't fancy destroying my windows biggrin

Cheers folks

By seals, I assume rubber gaskets?

Are they leaking or have they dried out and perished?

Exactly those - and yes, to say they're toast at this point would be a bit of an understatement!

If it's a BMW or Merc you can probably get them from BMW or Merc. In the unlikely event that it's an Audi forget it, you're on your own frown

I've always been quite impressed with how well rubbers age with older Mercs. Did a remove and refit on a 114 coupe and the rubbers were in excellent condition, just needed a clean. Then there was a 115 that came from the States and the Arizona sun had cooked them and I had to chisel them off!

My old Merc (also a 114/5 incidentally) is from California originally so would definitely closer to your latter experience! I'll send you a message smile
