There were no Ford GTs at all in 1963. The only ones raced in 1964 were factory entries and some cars reached private teams in 1965.
So the 1963 registration will probably have been a Ford Zephyr or similar whose identity has been used to tax a kit car. This car has a 4942 cc engine; the cars sold to private teams were 4727cc. It is much more modern than it seems, and almost definitely not entitled to historic status.

A bit of googling shows it to be a GTD40, a product of Gardner Douglas Sports Cars, who also made Cobra and Lola T70 spyder replicas.
GTD were GT Developments, unrelated to Gardner Douglas.Perhaps the confusion arises because they both made Lola T70 replicas, one called a GTD70, the other called a GDT70?
