Riding alongside Ulswater today, saw this little beauty parked up at a lakeside hotel, and had to stop for a better look... cloud9









I waited around for a little while, see if I could ambush the owner and find out a little about it, but in vain.

It's obviously a Bentley, and I'm guessing 1930's, and if anyone can tell me more I'd be grateful!

Look at the paint work.

That really is a credit to the owner. thumbup

Yep, a Derby Bentley. I wonder who did the coachwork- it looks very "heavy" at the back. There are some beautiful bodies Derby's around.

I'd hazard a guess at Gurney Nutting. (Most likely wrong!)

Definately not as I would never have seen the piccies. Nice one Mike what a lovely motor vehicle. Lakeside Hotel, stayed thee a few months back for an old mates 60th. Whilst having lunch witnessed a Hurricane flying low over the lake. V12 merlin engine oh my god

I've just come through Clare (Suffolk) and seen a beautiful RR Silver Dawn- lovely sight first thing in the morning- the sunshine's obviously bringing them out- it'll be the girls next LOL!
