Son is on the verge of telling the guy he works for to shove it. He drives a van delivering water bottles and his boss is being a complete c**t.
He's thinking of calling the creep to say the keys locked in the van, the hazards are on and it's in Newmarket see ya. Anyone got a better idea?

Careful.... A lot of transport related firms are very wary of this scenario and have written into contracts that the driver is resposible for any costs returning the vehicle to base at the end of employment.

If they haven`t............£10 fare Dover - Calais in the early hours! "Boss, the van is in Amsterdam with the hazards on etc etc......."

Drive into London into the pay zone and leave it parked up in Mayfair somewhere on triple yellows...
Dont think he will get away with that but just a thought.

The t..t will not give him a contract yet, says he is not sure if he is going to wait for 6 months or 3, his 3 months are up which is why he is thinking of leaving this way

Just tell him to have a polite, informal chat with his boss to discuss the situation. Had a bit of a problem with a previous boss always picking on me, had a chat, and it worked.

Nope, do the ferry route, If he hasn't got a contract then the guy can't hold your son responsible for leaving the van elsewhere in the country, how could he know where to leave it?

My company have given me a kennel of a honda civic. Its absolutely on its last legs, not even fully roadworthy (I know, I put it in for an early MOT!)

Caught a lampost today with the rear quarter in a car park... my company treat me like and they never made a condition report when i took delivery... its their problem as far as i'm concerned

Bollox to 'em
