Southend on Sea
Discussion
Jesus, what have you done to deserve that?
I live about 15mins away in Leigh-On-Sea and go out in Southend once in a blue moon. It's that good.
Last time we went there was to the Bluu Bar (or Bluu Bar) which is OK, but that was on a Saturday.
You've got your usual Yates, Hogs Heads etc. but it depends what you're into. Pubs on the Seafront can be a bit rough.
Sorry, not a lot of help really.

Avoid Southend..
But if you have to go..
Hotels... None worth mentioning honestly they are all crapola.
Drinking places.. well there are alot, good ones erm not really.
There are no high end decent bars except for the casinos...
Food,... LOTS of good places to eat. Seriously depending on the kind of food you like there are some seriously good restaurants.
Boatyard
Stefans
Fleur de Provence are all good Mod/Euro places
loads of others
Oriental
Thai Nava
Pearl Dragon
Great Wall
Oishi Sushi/Noodle (new)
Fujiyami for a teppanyaki table
on and on
Indians
one every 100 yards
