rude house guests...
Discussion
I invited an old friend and his new wife round for the night yesterday. They told me they would be here
at 5:00pm but they finally arrived at just after 9:00pm.
I gave up my room for them and I stayed in the spare room. I am currently still waiting for a shower and change of clothes as they are still in (my) bed and it is now after lunch time!!
So, I waited four hours for them to arrive and i have waited (so far) Five and a half hours for them to get up..just so we could hang out of a couple of hours last night.
Are they being rude spending the day in my bed or am i being miserable?
I want to just burst in there and tell them to get the
up and out of my house!

up and out of my house! i hate those type of people, i was looking after a friends house last year invited a friend and his new GF over, we went out for dinner then rented a dvd and went back to watch it, they went upstairs to 'put their bags up there' we didnt see them again untill sometime the following morning
Sorry to hear your tale.
Have you met the "New Wife" before? I suspect that the problem may lie there. (Speaking from bitter experience, having seen two excellent friends change dramatically under the influence of wives. Out of contact with one of them now, on account of a similar social faux pas.)
Oli.

Yes they must still be alive, i heard movement earlier...
I am making a point of not being hospitable..I am making no offers of tea or coffee or food until the buggers get up!
They did ask me yesterday if i had any plans for the day today but i assumed they were talking about spending some time with me rather than taking up my time!

Have you considered knocking on their door an enquiring when they are planning to get up?
Alternatively, just march in, open the curtains and a few windows, anounce that its a beautiful day and that you're all going down the pub for lunch.

My mates gran did that to him, caught him in mid stroke with his girlfreind.
I find a knock on the door and an offer of a cup of tea will get a result, just tell tem it will be ready in the kitchen in ten mins
